About Us
Sharn Veterinary Inc., founded January 2001, is an outgrowth of earlier research and marketing efforts in the monitoring field. The founder, Andrew Schultz Sr., together with a research team at Critikon Inc., developed the first automatic, noninvasive blood pressure monitor in 1991 designed exclusively for use by veterinarians. The Dinamap® Veterinary Monitor Model 8300 was marketed through 1999.
When Critikon decided to exit the veterinary market, Mr. Schultz established a relationship with CAS Medical Systems, a company well known for its superior blood pressure technology, and introduced the Cardell® BP Monitor Model 9301 in January 2000 through his medical products company, Sharn Inc. The product was so successful the current company was formed in 2001 to focus on veterinary monitoring.
Since then, the company has expanded the line to encompass nine monitors and has gained a reputation for having best-in-class technology. In 2006, Inc Magazine recognized Sharn Veterinary as one of the fastest growing private companies in America.
Recognizing the veterinary medical community's need for a reliable, affordable family of fluid management products, the Versaflo™ line of infusion and syringe pumps were launched in 2007. Soon after, The Tampa Bay Business Journal ranked the company number 14 on their "Fast Fifty" list of fastest growing area companies, and the company was a finalist for Small Business of the Year among 250 nominations.
